When women lose hair, there is both a physical and emotional impact. Sudden hair loss should be understood that it is not even painful nor dangerous. Despite of this, sixty percent of women who suffer this are emotionally devastated. Some even tend to be affected with regards to their marriage and career. It is important to know that the hair normally grows almost half an inch every month. There is a common growth phase of around two to six years. After undergoing this phase, the hair basically rests and eventually falls out. But this is only natural because this is the process before new hair grows from the identical follicle. Majority of people think that men are the only ones that suffer hair loss, but the truth is that many women around the world also suffer from hair loss.

Baldness has become a very frightening thought for women. Trauma and depression are the two major effects that baldness can bring to women. The hair is a very critical factor of beauty for most women. Once you feel that you won’t have any hair, it feels like you are going to get ugly immediately. Women should not be easily alarmed, baldness only occurs if hair falls out and fails to be replaced by new hair. If hair still grows, then there is nothing to worry about.

One of the most common types of hair fall that can be seen in women is Androgenetic Alopecia. This is also called female pattern alopecia. This occurs when the hair begins to predominantly thin on both the top and sides of the head. This basically can start even during the puberty period, but it usually happens after the menopause period.

The most typical causes of permanent or even temporary hair loss for women are the ff: ringworm, diet, birth control pills and pregnancy, emotional stress, physical stress, thyroid abnormalities, medications, rapid weight change, anemia, and hormonal changes like menopause.

The pattern baldness of women is different from the pattern baldness of men. Men’s hair loss usually includes skin disease, temporary hair shedding or even patchy areas that totally loses hair. When it comes to hair loss for women, it is typically moderate or mild and basically has a permanent tendency.

With unusual hair loss comes unusual myths. There are myths regarding the excessive use of shampoo that seems to be the reason to be blamed for hair loss. There is also a myth which claims that cosmetic treatments negatively affect the hair, leading to hair loss. Dandruff is also considered by some as a contributing reason behind hair loss. Myths are common because of speculations. You must be sure when it comes to your body. You must not rely on myths when your body is the main concern.

Work on it right away. When you see the start of hair fall, immediately consult a dermatologist so that your hair could be carefully diagnosed. Do not lose hope. Do not be depressed because hope floats. All you need to do is seek the answers and not dwell on this occurrence in a very negative way. Get your hair checked. Do not wait until you feel that it has already been worse. By taking action immediately, you can immediately see the possible solutions for hair treatment.
