Gary Null is the Kent Hovind of Alternative Medicine
Thanks to all who mirrored. Gary Null is the “Grandaddy of All Quacks”. He was recently in the news, and I decided to do a little digging on his education, qualifications, and honors. What I learned was… well… not that surprising for a man that sells magnetic bras and chi-enhancing jock straps. Anyone who thinks Gary is a real contributor to the field of nutrition would do well to read his one 1982 article on garlic, or his Penthouse publications. I also find it highly suspect that he is both diagnosing the world’s ills, and also crassly selling the “cures” on his website. Gary Null’s “About Gary Null” gnhealth.com Dr. Lee Phillips examines Gary Null’s claims. lee-phillips.org Stephen Barrett, MD runs QuackWatch. Good background info. www.quackwatch.org

U people or anyone that follows this man are like cult followers;he says do this, eat that ,drink this,think this,buy this,do this,& U do as U are told;U are the true believers.seriously folks does he look youger as the years progress?
but I guess the true believer will want to believe what they wish.
Mr know it alls.
I love it when all the so called devotees of this man get so upset with anyone who is either critical or skeptical of the fellow in question.
what is he your god or something?

History will not write of him as you have. You will, in the end, be embarrassed by the character assassination your small immature-mind has, with much youthful arrogance, betrayed the efforts of a Real American Hero.Without advertising he has the largest audience of the Best Informed on the Internet. He presents nothing that he doesnt provide with scientific proof, he is respected worldwide for his insights, his selflesss service and his compassion. GET A LIFE

The only person who would believe this hack-job on Dr Gary Null is the uninformed. This carries all the overtones of the “paid-for quack busters” paid by BigPharma. Few people have cared enough for the little guy, the common workers and Gulf War Vets, the AIDS victims, the loss of freedoms or rights of Americans.

Medical mistakes are a serious issue. Nearly 100,000 people in the United States die each year from preventable medical errors, according to a report in 1999 from the Institute of Medicine.

Can you believe he had a PBS special? Seriously when I watched it couple years back I could feel my bullshit flag go off. I didn’t even know this shit about him.

Gary Null is not another Kent Hovind… Hovind couldn’t get published in Penthouse.
July 27th, 2010 at 16:07
I’m not sure who should be more insulted by the comparison, Null or Hovind.
July 27th, 2010 at 16:36
Sleeps two hours a night eh? That might do some explaining about his stupidity.
July 27th, 2010 at 17:14
Many of your statements are hate and dubius…at best……..who are you? You’re calling all of Gary’s guest idiots………..ever check his guest list? They may take exception!!

-Logical research will reveal that “the Silver Microphone Awards honor the nation’s best local and regional radio advertising, audio programs and Web sites”. The author of this video must have mindlessly clicked the first google link. Trying to discredit his supposed PhD with information about current programs when Null graduated decades ago. He has a public photo gallery on picasweb with 136 pictures of Fertile Earth Farm.
“Him exposing his lies?”
What specific lies?

-lower their cholesterol and yet in a PBS article he acts the opposite way and leaves out this information.
“What is wrong about this video?
The list of reasons why Gary Null will “believe anything” is not supported. I wouldn’t be surprised if the author here is inspired by “Orac” on ScienceBlogs, who falsely implies that Null and Mike Adams claims “vitamin D is so great that it can never, ever hurt you”. The way that it assumes his toxicity was caused by his normally recommended dosages.-

@HybridD91 Scientists have known but that doesn’t necessarily mean there is no conspiracy but I never said there was a conspiracy between scientists, I just gave an example of something Null was right about as many people falsely put forth the idea that cancer is genetic. Just because scientists know something does not mean there is no conspiracy. For example, William Castelli, the director of the Framingham Study says in the Arch Int Med that the more saturated fat and cholesterol one ate the-

@qwerudo Yea and it’s no conspiracy. Scientists have known that for a long time that certain regions are affected by certain cancers more than others. What is wrong about this video? Him exposing his lies? Is that wrong?
July 27th, 2010 at 19:27
*some wrong about this video
July 27th, 2010 at 19:28
As there is some truth to what Gary Null says(realization that cancer is determined by environment and not genes[Japanese move to America and get the same rates of cancer in the same parts of the body, less stomach cancer, more prostate cancer]), there is also a lot wrong about this video.
Stephen Barrett is also a quack.

aids denialism has caused many deaths in my country of South Africa, our former president and former health minister bough into some of this sort of quackery (fro a Dr Rath amoung others) and as a result the roll out of antiretroviral drugs was delayed costing millions of lives in death and disease…. even so these dudes (Null and Hovind) are just such nobs you cant help but laugh….lol fucking wankers… do u have a hovind video?
July 27th, 2010 at 20:21
@pairtrader
No but the video plainly states that he has written in support of vitamin megadosing. IMo since he is advocating something which is potentially harmful then I would see it as justice if he were to be harmed or killed by it.
The people he is advertising to probably have no idea that it is dangerous to take too many vitamins
July 27th, 2010 at 20:27
LOL at him having to go to a REAL doctor! Fuc£$ng t%$t.
July 27th, 2010 at 20:33
@BatmanASB
This video is blatantly wrong. There was NO PROBLEM with Red Stuff. The problem was with a new product called Gary’s Ultimate Power Meal in which the manufacturer put 1000x the requested dosage of Vitamin D.
July 27th, 2010 at 21:10
@EarlFaulk
How would that be justice? The problem was caused by a manufacturing error that put 1000x the Vitamin D in the product that he requested. Gary has NEVER recommended that level of Vitamin D dosage.
July 27th, 2010 at 21:19
I noticed a couple of problems with the claims made in this video.
#1 – Gary’s vitamin D problem was NOT caused by RED STUFF. It was caused by Gary’s Ultimate Power Meal. The manufacturer put 2 million IU of Vitamin D per serving rather than the requested 2000 IU.
#2 – If I’m not mistaken, the Silver Microphone Awards honor the nation’s best local and regional radio advertising, AUDIO PROGRAMS and Web sites.

@GoodScienceForYou
You write: “I am also not going to validate your bullshit belief system by using your bullshit concocted jargon…”.
You claim to have read over 200,000 scientific papers, 20,000 of them in-depth and yet the “jargon” is beyond your understanding. It’s not a case of you “validating” anything, it is a case that you do NOT understand the subject.

@GoodScienceForYou
You believe that humans had sex with gorillas to produce chimpanzees and that they had sex with chimpanzees to produce Neanderthals. You are the most delusional moron to EVER post a video to YouTube and that’s saying something. You make NephilimFree sound like a beacon of rationality and clear thinking by comparison.
